I've started as a temp employee building roof trusses and have been given the opportunity to grow. This year marks 8 years with Builders FirstSource and I have been able to grow and advance my position into a market safety coordinator with the company. With drive and determination you can as well.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like having the chance to work with leaders that lead by example. Leading from the front is very important to me to learn from and I have witnessed that with Builders FirstSource.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Builders FirstSource strives to make everyone feel at home. I'm also a veteran and Builders FirstSource has always made us veterans feel very valued at being team members throughout the years of being employed.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some great things about my team would be our diverse background we all come from. Bringing together our different time periods of experience and leaning on each other for advice to tackle situations and work issues together.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being a market safety coordinator I get to visit different locations throughout the market and visit with typically more than the normal office size location. Being able to make friendships and acquaintances all around the market locations has made it enjoyable to see everyone at each location.
