We're a unified team that are all in agreement that ISRs are WOEFULLY under compensated in relation to OSRs while ISRs do most of the measurable amount of work.
Lower level management cares about their team members. I don't feel the executive team cares about the well being or compensation for anyone outside of themselves tbh. Outside sales making 7 figures a year while inside sales barely makes a livable wage.
Everything, EVERYTHING, is put on the ISRs plate when changes are made. I'm 100% confident that my OSRs would have a meltdown if they needed to cover while I was out. I don't claim I could do the OSR job, but I'm also not making $50,000/mo either. Balance the payscale, or lose good employees.
Balance compensation between outside rep and inside reps. When an OSR makes in a month, what an ISR makes in a year, that's a problem. It's not a team atmosphere when the OSR can take 6 vacations a year (not including customer or reward trips) when ISRs have to figure out what bills to pay on time.
