What do you like best about the leadership team?
The focus on business success as well as employee well-being and veteran recognition is great. The level of attention and attentiveness to the veteran culture is unique in the BFS family based on my experience.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Half of my team are Veterans, and the other half are fantastic co-workers that are a pleasure to work with. I would at any moment consider them the same as any soldier I have served with, a valued family member.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
As a veteran suffering hearing loss from service and civilian life, the medical coverage is far better than the VA-covered benefits. The hearing aids I purchased through the insurance benefits was far superior to anything available to the VA. It has improved my life significantly.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
BFS is forward-thinking and in a constant change phase. The culture at BFS is concerning for one another and supporting of its veterans among the other team members. Recognition programs, education benefits, and time away for those still serving are great ways to continue supporting them.
What makes you most happy at work?
My manager and my team are what makes working at BFS great. I also enjoy the travel and working in a new town each week. It is a pleasure to meet new people and share my experience of BFS with them as I prepare them for upcoming changes. It is always a pleasure to interact with the wider BFS family.
