Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

It's had highs and lows. We're at a low low right now. We've got to find the drive to make people want to show up to work. Telling TM, "you're lucky to have a job" isn't going to cut it anymore. This isn't 1980 - if someone is unhappy they'll leave and happily take a pay cut.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

BFS used to be a company I was proud to work for, and not even because of the commissions. I GENUINLY looked forward to coming to work. I thought there was career advancement, I thought I was valued. When the market went down, so did leaderships engagement with the team.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

My hourly going up. Commissions are a joke right now.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The TM who sit around me and that I interact with daily.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We all communicate fairly well with one another; we have a diverse environment.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

They try and provide us with support, and we are a very integrity driven company.

What makes you most happy at work?

Interacting with my peers and knowing that I provide the best customer service that I can.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We've been through it all together and we genuinely care about the person sitting next to us.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Jacki Uyar, she makes coming to work not only bearable but makes you want to be there.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

My hourly rating going up to what it did, but only because of changes that had to take effect.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to remember there is a person behind the spreadsheet. There is more to being a leader than having a good P/L sheet.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Commissions need to be high. Maternity leave should NOT be better for salaried employees compared to hourly. Get to know the people and understand what fuels them.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

That every member of leadership brings different types of skills, everyone seems to work together well, and they feed off of one another and try to lead together - or at least in unity.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Listening and recognizing the individuals. There are ups and downs in every market. We celebrated so hard when we hit those highs, but now that we've come down, it feels like we are continuously getting our teeth kicked in.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Leadership has lost our buy in. They're so focused on digital and dollars. They've lost focus on the TM in front of them. Outside sales can do absolutely no wrong, and other teams like inside sales and pricing are constantly being kicked down.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Honestly, our culture is terrible. I can't think of one thing leadership is doing to boost morale. The only reason I still want to come to work is because of the connections I've made with my peers. I'm not challenged. There's no drive to want to do better.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The price of living is growing at an astounding rate, our wages are not matching that. If I did not receive the commission that I did off of my sales - I'd be homeless. We have homeless people in our office, and no one seems to care. Base salaries need increased. Period. Take care of everyone.
