My GM is an excellent boss. The DM not so much, she causes issues and doesn't seem to know how to keep employees and guests happy. For lack of a better term she smoozes people. She does not listen to the needs of handicap and disabled employees and circumvents set days off.
What did you like most about the interview process?
When my car broke down on interview day they allowed me to do it over the phone.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The acceptance and understanding my coworkers have. For the most part working here has best the best job I've ever had.
What makes you most happy at work?
My GM allowing me to do what makes me feel comfortable and keep my anxiety to a minimum. The shift managers following her lead.
What are some of the best things about your team?
When left alone we work well together, it's a fun shift and things run smoothly. They listen to each other's needs. They're my friends now. I have never had that at previous jobs
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My GM is friendly and understanding. The shift managers are goal oriented and follows the GM's lead. If the DM would stop being so controlling over day to day things I believe our store would be able to come back from this brink we are on. Have better turnover rates and window times.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am severely limited in the kind of work I can do, in this instance I set limits and my schedule when I was hired. I was tossed into work with no training. The DM constantly ignores my set schedule, and over work me.Then cut my hours when I don't comply. It's weird but I just need to be left alone
