Burger King – The job experience was amazing. The skills I've learned and the knowledge I gained made me more dedicated to doing my best everyday. The job could be stressful but I learned how to deal with the stress without it having interference with the way I work. I enjoyed it enough that it was hard to leave. | Comparably

What did you like most about the interview process?

I like how the store manager wants to build the employee relationship before you even get the word you're hired. She wants to know you as a person and she tends to respect you as such. Trust works both ways and she trusts you until you break that trust.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The positive thing is that everyone wants to work together but most importantly we have fun. Even when we are slammed we make friendly competitions to see whose the fastest and most efficient and it makes the job entertaining. You can just about expect someone else to need help, should stay busy.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They typically work together and make the day a breeze. I like how some of them are goal-oriented and willing to learn more and beyond where they currently are. There has been times where we are understaffed and running the business is hard, but it's not impossible if you have the right staff.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

I like how well organized it was. I don't like how lazy the managers were and how anyone could be a team leader even if they weren't setting the right example. But overall the organization worked out to who was capable of actually running the place and the managers typically had the same goals.

What makes you most happy at work?

I like the friendly competitions with my coworkers and I like achieving our goals as a team because there is no I in team. I also love a lot of people in our neighborhood, people can be so sweet and kind and have the best stories and conversations. Also love our regular customers who always come.
