They're all friends and they will get rid of anyone who doesn't agree with everything they say. "Tell it like it is" is a made up value they act like they promote, that no one actually wants to hear unless it's positive.
They look out for the best interest of the company, and that's it. Don't look to find resolve or support with serious issues. So long as they aren't faced with a lawsuit, they'll push off any concerns you have as much as possible.
They'll help you out if it's a serious discrimination issue or concern. Complaints about other employees become he said-she said and don't require strong documentation or evidence.
