Great boss, great brand, and interesting work. But it is a changing company, be wary of the marketing material.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Overall it is good; starting to focus more on safety as it seems like daily individuals are getting injured on the job.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I know it seems cliche, but employees generally understand that we work at a publicly traded company. But stop running the company based on shareholders and start focusing on the customers would be a good start. Sacrificing quality and employee safety for shareholders does not seem sustainable.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
all about the money for them; not for the individual employee. The literature is very much about Values in Action, Individual success, etc. But there is really no teeth to that, just fluff. Leaders making questionable decisions consistently. It kind of shocking coming in a mid career hire.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Direct team is fantastic, but constant changes make it difficult to see any consistency in terms of strategy. Company is in the middle of removing employee who have been here more than 10 years of bringing in external hires. New CEO has a negative sentiment about current employee base.
