Managing the dead weight employees. And giving clear objectives for those that want to be part of the company.

People need to see more appreciation for hard work and discipline for those that cruse online forums all day.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Caterpillar might take care of their employees, but good luck becoming one! I've been there 7 years and even laid off and brought back. Management / HR will not give line of sight for what it takes to advance your career.
