At this point, nothing. Cut my severance check, and I’m out the door!
Our culture has taken a hit because we are closing. Many of us have been there busting our tails for over 20 years, all with little thanks. We are all just ready to close this chapter of our lives and move on.
First of all, we haven’t had a raise at my facility in over five years. The last “raise” we received, they took away our yearly bonus, took $200 from potential monthly bonus, and raised my insurance premiums. We walked out in the hole that day!
Our local leadership team is great. They do the best they can. The only thing the executive leadership team is worried about is lining their pockets and making sure the big stock holders get richer and richer. They work us like dogs, so they can live the high life.
Our facility had one of the best safety records in our division, an excellent quality record, we control our costs, and we always get comments from visitors about how engaged and friendly we are. Our facility closure was announced in September of last year, and my team is what I’ll miss most.
