1. Collecting feedback from individual contributors - particularly those closely working on the project. 2. Investing in testing ideas and going forward with the ones that perform.
This company has a very top down approach. There is almost never a brainstorming session. Work comes to you from your manager - the nature and output is predecided. There is very little room to be a thought partner. Managers do the presenting, even when they didn't contribute to the work.
