I'm in a new department that seems to be regularly forgotten and not appreciated at the RSC. We're the go to people for field emergencies or questions that dont have a clear department. Turnover is over 50%, we've been fully staffed for a couple months in the years since the team was created.
What makes you most happy at work?
Driving results for the operations teams I support. Seeing restaurant teams improvement.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The operations team I work with greatly value what I do, listen to my recommendations ang give great feedback.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team are incredibly hard working and able to support each other as well. All of us are outspoken and aim to do the right thing for the company and our team.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Fill vacant positions. Give adequate recognition to employees who exceed expectations even if it is the majority of employees. Don't worry there's plenty of money, the board just may have to sacrifice a couple million of their massive compensation packages.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I took on many of the responsibilities of the unfilled positions on our team including many of my supervisor's for 8 months of the year. Simultaneously driving results across my region. I was tated as meets expectations because other people in my department also did too mich work. It was insulting.
