I started as crew and am currently a manager at my location. The support I received from my leadership is unreal and has allowed me to grow very quickly within the company. I recommend Chipotle to anyone looking for a meaningful company that will invest into their future.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Their transparency and willingness to communicate with the team is very admirable. These traits are something not commonly found within a leadership team.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Chipotle is super people focused. When they say to be yourself they truly mean it. There is no room for hate within the company and its restaurants. The company cultivates a culture of inclusivity and acceptance.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is super friendly and everyone is truly friends with each other. Being a store with an ADS of about 12k, we build a real sense of trust within the team. This also leads to more team oriented work and just an overall better work environment.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Other companies hire at a greater starting pay than Chipotle for a very similar job profile. Employee retention needs to be prioritized and the incentive of a higher starting pay would significantly help motivate new and experienced crew and management to stay with the company. We need better pay.
What makes you most happy at work?
I truly do enjoy my job but the best part about it is seeing the smile on my crew and customers' faces after a long day of work. The guest leaves happy with the service they've received and the crew leaves motivated by seeing all their hard work pay off :)
