I have ridden the Chipotle roller coaster for 8 years now. From my experience, Chipotle used to be an amazing company during the time of Steve Ells and Monty Moran. Sadly, i feel the state of the company has deteriorated once they stepped down.
What makes you most happy at work?
Helping solve customer issues, and training fellow crew mates.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all collectively suffering from an unfair wage, so by banding together and grouping up we are able to help each other overcome these hardships.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Nothing really. The culture and environment at chipotle is a facade. We used to have a great culture back when Monty Moran was part of the team.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The hourly wage is not reflective of the workload and expectations of us. I would feel better if all crew member would start at a $15 mininum wage across the whole company.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Financial compensation. Crew, Kitchen Leader, and Service Leaders all work for ridiculously low wages. We are all underpaid and overworked. How can a company report record prof bbits but is incapable of holding a $15 mininum wage for their employees? Make it make sense. If we are truly valued, show
