It's a good gig. There are some technology choice pains: .NET instead of Go, Webex instead of Zoom, Webex Teams instead of Slack, Microsoft TFS instead of GitHub, Thinkpads instead of Macbooks. But overall the work environment is positive, it's laid back and easy going.

They're hands off and don't care about things that don't affect work (hours, attire, Redditing at work, etc).
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Base pay is low compared to other software engineering positions in the area. Total comp is average at best. 401k matching doesn't kick in until after a year, benefits don't start until after a month, and stock grants aren't awarded until two years after (begin vesting one year after start).
