After a few years here I am seeing that people are not valued for the work and effort you put in. Not even about your loyalty to the company. The minute you no longer serve a purpose you are gone. Managers often don't appreciate their workers. Many take advantage and pass their workers up for promo
Often, they are a great resource for dealing with the day to day stressors as well as helping to get the job done.
Learning new things and interacting with the few co-workers with whom I have a good working relationship with. These folks help make the day more positive.
Seeing our office space transformation as we continue to build out corporate headquarters. This also comes with a lot of work for those involved in the transition and frequent moves.
I believe they have a clear vision for where they want to take the company. I believe they genuinely want the company to succeed, not just for the shareholders, but for the good of everyone.
Better pay equity. Salaries are not on par for the work/ role. More opportunities for advancement and NOT just for select roles and individuals. Some individuals have had multiple promotions in the last 2 years. Many being promoted are NOT people of color or minorities.
Coming in and doing work that I enjoy and being able to help people get their jobs done. Knowing that I have co-workers that understand the struggle and we help each other deal with the challenges. Knowing that I'm apart of a company that's doing great things.
Leadership is tone deaf in their messaging about return to office. They refuse to be flexible about hybrid/ remote work. We are struggling to retain and attract talent. That makes more work for the rest of us. We are spread thin and expected to JUST PICK UP THE SLACK.
Salaries should be based on not just the role/ position, but based on the workload, as well as location (Southern California vs. Columbus, Ohio). The workload is greater than the salary. More work and responsibilities are added without compensation. There is no incentive to do more, but it is expect
The more you do, the more your asked to do. Many are doing far less and getting paid more and getting promoted. No recognition, no appreciation, no incentives. But lots of expectations to always do more and do things outside your scope as well. Leadership is one-sided. Shareholder first mentality.
Some of us work really well together and lean on each other when the going gets tough. Many are in the same boat and feel the same way. Others are taking advantage and not carrying their weight. Manager is over worked and overwhelmed and still trying to get her bearings.
Co-workers in same role/ position need to step it up and perform at same level. Many do far less and spend more time away from the business and get paid more. Many do their own thing and resist following processes and procedures set in place. Often causing confusing and miscommunication.
No opportunities for advancement in my role or in my location. Pay not commensurate with experience and work load. Others doing less get paid far more. Many coming into company get paid 1-2x more than those of use who have been here for years. Never considered for higher roles. Merit not aligned
Outside of a few of my colleagues helping to make the day a little better there isn't much positive to share. I'm greatful for a job but for how much longer now that we are rushing to force people back into office while forcing vaccination. Just means more work and no reward or recognition if I stay
I want to feel appreciated. I wanted to be recognized for my work and effort. I want my merit and bonus to align with my actual work effort and performance NOT what someone thinks it is based on quotas they need to meet. I want to feel valued. I want to have opportunities for growth and advancement.
