What are some of the best things about your team?
My team members are passionate about their job despite being under-appreciated and not compensated enough.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I feel demotivated because sometimes it doesn't feel like it's worth all the trouble. But pick myself up because I can't afford to be unemployed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The fact that I can work from home is extremely appreciated. But also, I haven't encountered work politics or gossiping which is very common in other work environments.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Caring about their people. No salary increase, bare minimum benefits, minimal and not exciting employee engagement. We are already left behind, other employers have already improved and we're still stuck. It feels like we never recovered from the pandemic and it's been 4 years.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm a Senior Manager practically being paid an OM salary. It wasn't even the rate I was promised but I agreed because I needed the promotion at the time. Other companies are paying double for a lower level. No annual salary increase since 2020. My bonus is miniscule.
