My yard manager took notice of my work ethic fast, and when he sees potential he inspires people to use that potential.
We have a couple of bad apples that don't work, talk down on coworkers, and make the job much harder for those of us that are actually hard workers.
Honestly, our manager needs to learn how to properly manage a business, and how to treat employees equally and fairly, or he needs to be replaced by someone who will take their employees seriously.
Honestly right the most positive thing for the yard workers is that the bad apples of the branch barely ever come outside while it's hot, and so we can just focus on our jobs and not have to be bothered.
Everything else about my job I love, the pay is good, the work isn't terrible, it's just hot and we are spending our own money to stay hydrated in almost 100 degree weather, and I hope things get better before summer actually starts.
Our yard manager is very positive, and tells us that things will get better if we are patient and go through the chain of command, and that our hard work will get recognized. If it weren't for the yard manager we all probably would have quit already.
