Most nights, I'm expected to cover down on sometimes 3 or 4 departments as their is lots of under scheduling. Lots of lazy co-workers in certain departments are not team players and its noticeable. I get asked daily to lift or move things over 30lbs. I not able to do that. I'm a 100% disabled Vet.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm a part time employee, full time student.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Some people are there to help customers and co-workers, but there are lots of people there in my opinion that need to be let go based on attitudes and just laziness to perform their jobs on customer service.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The managers were very informative and positive. You had a real understanding of their expectations and what needed to be done as an employee to make the store a great customer experience and a fun place to shop.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There needs to be more spot checking on assigned duties per department on takings. Better leadership in making co-workers help the designated areas of concern at closing time, like helping out the apparel dept with clean up. That dept meant is always hit hardest.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
If they would pay more attention to who actually does their jobs and are a team player when it's time to close or even help a customer then that would make a huge difference. Lots of employees here with the I dont care attitude of just showing up to get a check. Laziness across the board.
