Needs more solid product direction, less chasing the new shiny thing.

Politics and lack of clear direction, can make things hard to get done and cause conflicts.
Google's hiring process is extremely slow and bureaucratic. Good candidates often have moved on before the process completes.
Google's high comp and low oversight model invites political climbers, who are slowly infesting the company. I guess this is unavoidable as companies get larger.
