Out of 669 H&M employee reviews, 83% were positive. The remaining 17% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping H&M improve their work culture. The HR team, with 100% positive reviews, reports the best experience at H&M compared to all other departments at the company. The Product team offered the most constructive feedback, with 30% of that department's reviews constructive in nature.
the leadership team is very unclear in their expectations and it's constantly changing direction. The compensation barrier and european way of thinking is causing the lack of competence in the US.
I like the co-operation of leadership team and employees too.
They help each other and they so respectful
We are one team and work in unity
Their transparency and their belief in the power of people.
Owning their job role. Being present. Being approachable. Willingness to undertake floor duties when necessary. Approaching "lower" staff as a team, rather than part of a hierarchy.
Scheduling, treatment towards employees, training, and contribution to work on the floor.
H&M offer the oportunity of growing inside the company, however most of those growning are selected by friendship, the assesment centers are a lie. Less nepotism is needed in the company's internal growth process. There is no training or monitoring of middle managers
The new senior leadership team in Business Tech are trying to wipe the whole legacy and history of H&M's values and how we operate, off the face of their new world to start their own legacy, in the process causing a very high turnover rate of employees. They do not care to understand the complexity.
They need to get better at Understanding and boundaries

I love Everything about it
Affordable health care, wellness hours.
The wellness option is extremely nice with children
Company shares and annual pay reviews.
It's a decent pay to survive
Comments my manager made to myself and other colleagues: "Don't work then, it doesn't matter to me but you won't get paid." "You're worthless. The company doesn't need you." "If you don't want to be here, then don't. We don't owe you anything." Nothing could make up for treating people like this.
I am the only one at my store that covers shifts for people. I'm also one of the only few that extends hours even if I have plans. I sacrifice a lot of my time to help my team as well as the few, and we feel ignored.
People who work for so long will get high compensation with unrealistic salary compare to the general standard. New joiner who contribute / deliver more than the one who stayed longer has lower salary. Especially in Asia or small operations office like Indonesia.
Better pay! If this company doesnt want to lose their workers offer a better pay! I feel like they dint appreciate their employees enough especially those who are the minorities. Managers and the test are always treated more which is unfair for everyone else. Sale's associates do most of the work!!
If the compensation was tied to inflation.
Everyone is very helpful and kind.
We know each others strengths and know where we can lean when we don't have the same. Partnering our strengths for great outcomes.
Floor staff and visual merchandisers. We all work well together, and make light of sometimes near-impossible tasks, to get them done.
They are very helpfully. They give constructive feedback.
Small but full energetic team
the corporate staff including sr management is often uninformed and unprepared to conduct meetings. The meetings have no clear agendas and are often to rehash things that had been discussed prior and have no resolution. Most meetings truly could be email.
I think always be mindful when giving feedback thru encourangement words or phrases but not criticism.

improvement is greatly needed. There are no effective trainers in store. What the company needs to do is create a trainer position which pays more than a regular sales associate and more than the new people, so you can have quality training for new employees.
Back stabbing gossip culture. Nobody is happy for you if you are performing. They will usually explain it away somehow and bottom performers remain if they "like you."
do more team building activities and not always look at the budget

My immediate colleagues are great to work with
The behaviour of every employee is very friendly.
Diverse and open minded culture
We are a genuinely value driven company.
Not a little bit of arrogance is tolerated. No harassing. Free to work with routines.
Managers. Pay. Technology. Security/loss prevention.
I dont even know where to start. The culture is fake, nobody is truly happy and we get told how "lucky we are," to be working for such an "amazing company." Until you establish genuine trust amongst the leaders in the business, its everyone out for themselves and its terrible.
train managment be fair not bias
The Management at the store level. What these corporation level thinks going on is not what happens at the site level

Treat the employees with respect

I love the interview and i love everything.
Quick and decisive. Plenty of opportunity to ask about learning and growth and leadership within the role you are applying.
Original manager was really approachable and made me feel welcome, so I opened up and gained confidence.
That it was interactive with the floor and allowed me to meet potential coworkers
Very well organized and professional
Call back within a reasonable time frame, not drag it out for weeks.
Just dont ask any interview questions
It takes a long time
Review from Product Dept
Interview fewer candidates per position, let people know once decision is made to go with someone else

When i help customers to find what they need
The people i work with and learn from.
Commiserating daily with my colleagues.
Being able to help out
Achievement and challenges everyday with the team
The thing wrong with H&M is
Stop putting too much pressure on the staff.
Zero customer service at most H&M stores. The customer is often looked at as an "annoyance," by the store staffs
training fairness not bias poor
Pay more for the work the employees produce!! Stop scheduling closers to come in at 6am when it takes some mire than an hr to commute

I feel comfortable at my job
