Free tax prep for family
Its a good salary for 15 weeks of work
good yearly increments and bonuses
Pay is based on how much revenue you bring in but Block constantly gives discounts which would not a be a problem but these discounts count against the tax pro. Also, a 20 discount is one thing but a 100 discount is another thing. These are also given to customers with less than a week old return.
Granting me the hours that is apart of my position that I was hired in
NICE TO BE GIVEN STOCK OPTIONS AGAIN
Review from Customer Success Dept
If they were less cagey about compensation. If they scheduled more evenly rather than by giving all the hour to favorites. Some employees get 50 or more hours while I am begging for 30 and getting 16 even though my skill is high and my customer rating is 5 star.
my son, working at McDonalds makes more money then me per hour.
Review from Operations Dept
Include COLA as part of wage determination every year.
Pay based on the skill level a tax pro is vs what tests they can pass
As a CSP, you keep the office running and clients set up with appts. CSPs do way too much to get paid as little as they do
Low base salary, uncompetive with market
I feel like I'm an asset to the company but they don't appreciate it
i feel it is not fair to drop the hourly rate based on the customer participation. It is my opinion that H&R Block is aware of the competition between in person and virtual customers knowing that customers are choosing virtual because it is cheaper than in person. In turn, the tax pro is penalized
Review from Operations Dept
I am not able to work year round, earn a better pay and even be considered for benefits.
I've made the company 100k in 4 month. My compensation was 4k.
Received minimum pay, hours where constantly being micro-managed, constant schedule changed and inconsistent hours.
No. I believe that I am valued.
Higher pay with better medical options
The promised pay that i have in writing that i never recieved.
Review from Admin Dept
Favortism, drinking, frat behavior. Don't work here as a woman unless you are okay with this behavior. I reported a few things and was completely ignored.
The only ones that benefits from any of the extras are higher ups. The csp's are taxed on any perks.
Seasonal employees get to have a phone call with a therapist. regular, year-round employees get a group of attorneys on retainer for like 53 cents per paycheck, $25,000 for fertility treatments and adoption. I feel like there are two different classes of people, and this is why we can't afford staff
