I've raised concerns to management about a coworker who actually seems like a ticking time bomb. I don't like working with this individual and don't feel safe. The hotel was robbed during the holidays. We lost a manager because she didn't feel safe. She was nearly assaulted during the robbery.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, greed, sales, safety of everyone, crime, background checks, sanity, morale, ethics
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
A sense of urgency from management. I had my 2 interviews 2 months apart.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It seemed positive at first but it's gone downhill very quickly. No one is supported by management.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management doesn't care about it's people. We received CPR training but we don't get any self defense training to save our own lives.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Lose the one psychopath for one. Management doesn't care. About anything except money or an audit. Morale, appreciation and happiness is non existent.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm getting paid way below what I'm used to. I have tons of customer service experience but no hospitality experience. Because of that, I'm getting paid below poverty level.
