He served as the President of Trane Commercial Systems at The Trane Company Inc. until June 2008 and Ingersoll-Rand Plc from June 2008 to February 2009. Mr. Lamach served as Senior Vice President of Ingersoll-Rand Company from February 16, 2004 to February 2009 and also served as its President of Security Technologies Sector from February 16, 2004 to June 2008. Mr. Lamach served as Group Vice President and General Manager of Asia at Johnson Controls, Inc. from 2002 to 2003 and also served as its Group Vice President and General Manager of Customer Business Units from 1999 to 2002 and Vice President and General Manager of Controls Group from 1996 to 1999, where he led Johnson Control's integrated facilities management business. He served 17-years with Johnson Controls, He also served positions in Sales Management, Marketing and New Product Development. He has been the Chairman at Ingersoll-Rand Plc since June 2010. He has been an Independent Director of PPG Industries, Inc. since April 16, 2015. He has been a Director of Ingersoll-Rand Company since February 2010 and PPG Industries, Inc., since April 16, 2015. He served as a Director of Iron Mountain Incorporated from July 2007 to May 28, 2015. Mr. Lamach holds Bachelors degree in Engineering from Michigan State University and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Duke University.
