Middle management needs to improve for the regular workers to improve. Morale is very low, there is no motivation for the employees to improve- they have no power.
Executives need to hire people with actual leadership traits, not just a degree. Upper mgmt needs to be more active in overseeing middle mgmt and provide everyone more hours for training and working hours.
Everyone at joann feels undervalued because we get nothing but minimum wage 20 hours a week on average and a 30% discount...unless we have been here over 5 years. Then we may get a full time position which has some benefits or a little bit more money.
