Actually asked me about what I enjoy doing. I thought it might make a difference in my regular work at this company. It did not.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
If wages were based on hard work rather than just getting a quarter more every year. Or not even that when the state minimum wage increases.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Work is based on selling rather than building a rapport with guests. In an ideal work environment, employees would be measurably rewarded for being friendly and knowledgable.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Hourly workers are underpaid and underappreciated while corporate continues to pack on the workload. No incentive to sell the tons of units they wants us to. Implement a commission on big ticket items like cricut and sewing machines, and your employees will work harder.
