Kroger Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

The ability to have a text message option

Review from Sales Dept

It was years ago when Baker's wasn't owned by Kroger. Great company then. Kroger has too many greedy corporate asshats who dont understand they can't take their money to the grave with them. They are all narcissists, pyschopaths, and sociopaths at the top.

Meeting with different teams and levels of associates to get a better understanding of the culture and company

When they hired me !

I was interviewed in front of a panel

The interviewer, she made me feel very comfortable and at ease during the entire interview

I could say whatever I wanted with no judgment

Review from Sales Dept

The questions asked , responses given , etc.

Review from Sales Dept

I do not remember it.

Being able to let Kroger HR Dept. Know my Previous Cashier and Customer Service Experience.

It was quick and easy

An employee that was great at interviews left for a different company that treats her better

Interview was very smooth and enjoyable

Kroger was very transparent about the process.

There friendliness and great customer service skills

Review from Customer Success Dept

Their customer service skills . Their friendlinee , smiles and tact

The friendliness of the intervier

The questions were straightforward and easy

Interveiws was a breeze. Only asked for mu availibility.

One on one interaction with human resources.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

When a potential associate tells you what their strengths/preferences are, listen to them. The company constantly throws new hires into departments they never applied for and are expected to work as though they were working there for years.

its fine its just not everything you need to know is disclosed

Honesty and integrity. No feedback on process.

Tell the truth it is one of your values after all.

Theyve couldve actually told me the job for starters. They were offering one job and then said "Oops, we didnt mean thag, heres this one instead" Nor to mention, it was a job fair and it was between two jobs. So bottom of the barrel. Most ill run and unprofessional I have even seen.

She pressured me to have more availability then neglected to give me days off thag i told her i needed off because im a student

Truthful and complete information should be given.

Let someone who cares do it

Confirm questions asked as far as availability first of all

Nothing as there's no drive to make it better

For the HR not to discriminate

Nothing it was wrong go

Review from Sales Dept

Proper training to the hiring agents

Making it more apparent the long hours, lack of a predictable schedule, and make more apparent the type of clientele that you’ll be dealing wi

I was explicitly lied to about my starting pay and status. They did not tell me until 2 weeks in that I was not full time and only made 11.75. March 2020 was the peak of the PANDEMIC and I signed my life away to garbage lies instead of free Covid money. They cost me 57k tax free, zero work involved.

Being fair and not rude

Review from Sales Dept

Hire recruiters with actual professionalism . If they can not conduct interviews without talking down to potential employees, they are not doing their job. Reevaluate what is really being asked of employees and be transparent and honest of what work will be taking place.

Have regard for human beings.

Review from Operations Dept

Ask about experience and interest in taking training courses before working in the department. It's too hard trying to train people while getting everyday tasks done.

Less wait time. Peace, love
