To start being proactive of their knowledge in their positions. If you don't know something then by al means do ask and I am happy to help but asking me the same questions day after day week after week gets exhausting. Write it down and keep it somewhere you can refer to when needed.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I worked almost 300 hours overtime over a period of three months with the significant growths the SA market had in 2020 and for this I never got any compensation not even a day off to say thanks. When it came to merit increases I got 8% which was not good enough for the hours and dedication
