Productivity is pushed, lots of competition for small rewards. I wasn't part of the clique that was close to management so it was isolating. Planning to leave once I get a new job in place.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The management tries to encourage friendly competition, but it is hit or miss.
What makes you most happy at work?
Quitting time and seeing that I am not just scheduled for the whole weekend to work.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Paid minimum wage and expected to be in call in case others don't show up to work or the manager didn't adequately staff the sales floor.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was hired by one person who left the company before my first day on the job. The management team that hired me had either quit or transferred out by 6 months of my employment here.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
This company typically employs young people to run and manage their stores often with little to no training. Their on-call hours for people making minimum wage is ridiculous, it's retail sales. Staff properly the first time through, don't make underpaid staff wait to see if they are needed.
