What's the Marketing team like at Oracle?
It’s really just a virtual team and the team hardly ever gets all together. Lots of people remotely based. More regular team gatherings would be needed to create a real team spirit.
Great team but sales is dominating everything aggressively and thus ruining it always.
How's the leadership on the Engineering team at Oracle?
My particular team is a very senior team. We are given a direction and figure the rest out and deliver. Leadership != management, FYI! In terms of management, they do what good management does and clear the roadblocks for the guys turning the cranks to get work done.
Pretty efficient
What's the pay like for Business Development roles at Oracle?
The pay is like money. Not much of it though.
Pay is way below market.
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Oracle? How many hours are you working?
Pretty fexible work environment. I am working not more than 40 hours/week
Creativity depressed, rediculously aggressive schedules, and expectations for consistently wowing execs help in the overall negative vibe.
What's the vibe like in the Customer Support dept at Oracle? How many hours are you working?
Depends on group, RAC group you are working 45-50+ hours per week just to keep up with the work.
8-12hrs . The vibe is you mostly have to deal with your issues yourself. Training is almost nonexistent or not aprópiate .You can ask for help among your piers and that is as much training you will get.
What's the Customer Support team like at Oracle?
Depends on team, some teams are so busy that they are cut throat.
The analysts are nice and support each other but management in general is not-caring or weak to look for analysts interest. Cannot fight even for salary adjustments due to inflation.
How's the leadership on the Sales team at Oracle?
Largely ineffective.
The Oracle Leadership Team cares only about protecting their stock price and managing the external perception of the company. They are completely distant from daily work. And reward is a foreign concept.
What's the pay like for Sales roles at Oracle?
20% lower than most companies.
Pay overall is low, below other companies, and Tobey any raise at all the employee must leave oracle, then after one year they can come in at the New higher base alert. Oracle cares only about “shareholder value” not about employees. They continue to move jobs to Romania and to India and are actively but quietly downsizing their US footprint. It is a hostile culture that does not recognize employees. Can not recommend employment with Oracle unless you are just starting and need a recognized name on your resume. Just know that the hateful, hostile disrespect and lack of encouragement and acknowledgement are not normal, so leave when you find a new opportunity.

Join their internship programs they have a ton.
What is the company mobility like at Oracle?
Very hard. I had to find a position internally to get a slight raise. And now it’s stagnant regardless of all the hard work. Other than that, you can remain in the same position without ever seeing a raise in your career. You need to move around and also move out. I heard leaving and coming back is the best way to get ahead at the company (salary wise).

HR will try to make this process as difficult as possible, to the point where you will look at external opportunities
