I am female, work harder and am more productive and provide value to the company at a much higher level than many male peers, yet my pay scale is lower and expectations are higher. Compensation was never an issue with me because I had loyalty to a company I thought was good, but sadly, no more.
Policy that suits dismissal when the associate fails but is accepted when corporate needs
I get stuck at the registers all the time. When I was looking for a full-time position, everyone told me there was no full-time positions yet. Only to find out they gave the full-time position to an employee that has been with the company for 1 year instead of me that have been working for 3 years.

The work load just keeps piling up with new things to do at the store but my pay stays the same. I dont have enough time to finish things in general and now they are introducing more things for us to do, that I again barely have time for
There are no stock options, no 90 day raise, no raises above .05¢ and many other problems. You can ask about raises and all that special stuff, but they'll just cut your hours if they do give you something worth mone
Bathers are over worked, over booked, forced to all the walk-in tasks and majority of the cleaning. We work the hardest and undervalued. we have no say in anything when it comes to dogs booked on us to the point we get injured and blamed as if we weren't being safe which is the opposite.

Store is never swept. Store associates do not wash their hands after cleaning the OOPS Stations. Uncleanly. Bad management. We are supposed to get two fifteen minute breaks and a half hour. I would only be allowed to go on my half hour break and one fifteen minute break if I was lucky.
Bonus structure pre the 2015 buyout paid more. Min wage increased by $6 while mine only $2 in the last 5 years. Deleting and restructuring positions and slashing hours left me with considerably more responsibilities but have been poorly compensated for it.
I feel very undervalued as a bather. The pay as a starting salary is fine but the wage should be raised considering bathers are the ones that not only take up to 6 dog appointments a shift, but also are responsible for random walk-in appointments no matter what they're schedule is.
Benefits are pretty standard....pay is good and bonuses are amazing because the company is back to being private....but the culture doesn't make the $ worth it.
I was accused/blamed by store lead that I broke equipment on my days off. My voice was unheard about needing help and more hours. In one ear and out the other. No accountability
I feel undervalued because no matter how hard I work, the people who do nothing get all the praise which results in them getting more hours. But when I ask for more hours, they suddenly don't have them. But they can hire more people.
For the amount of work and lack of customer service other employees feel, barely making above minimum wage does not make the work feel motivating.
