PetSmart Team Employee Reviews

What are some of the best things about your team?

Quality of work and shared love of pets

We all get along. We are line a family

Many things, the team was drawn to the job for the same reason, to make money and be able do the right things for pets at the same time.

Co-workers are always nice. You never feel judged.

We work well together. We help each other out and always lift each others spirits.

Review from Sales Dept

They are fun to work with

They are nice to me and (most of them) are respectful about not touching someones dog

Our store is like a second home. We deeply care about each other and treat each other like family.

They're friendly people, all very kind.

Review from Sales Dept

Everyone is friendly and cares about animals

The coworkers I have at my level are great. We all help each other and support each other. Very friendly and I made some real connections with them.

Coworkers are really close and all love animals deeply. We all work there for the benefits of pets rather than the pay

Thr coworkers are great iys just the manager and assistant manager that are terrible

It’s never been the team that led me to leave. The people I worked with were fantastic and always had something to learn from them. They went out of their way to work together and were so supportive.

We all work together great

Review from Sales Dept

My coworkers are nice and helpful

The commitment everyone gives .

Positive hard working and supportive

The people I have worked with over the years truly love animals and are very dedicated to their care

My team constantly has my back. They reinforce policy when customers are rude and constantly support eachother.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Better accountability, and transparent communication. Everything is secretive to keep people motivated yet people failed to meet the basic core deliverables and Are given extension/forgiveness. While others are still held accountable to their original. And injustice inequity that will never go away

If everyone worked as a team to have a positive out come for the store on a daily basis If management would not continue to employ employees that do not do their part and make it hard for the rest of the team to have a positive outcome

Honest leadership and honest compensation

Most of them are management. The store I work at has more managers than employees. They need to know that most of us are struggling with a high workload while they are dilly dallying with picking up online orders at a slow pace just to appear busy.

When they make appointments to maki fairylike

I deal with one person who harasses me every time we work together and throws my things if they could be a better person I'd be great

There are always issues with promotional & Treat offers, we can trouble shoot to a point, same with the payment system ( I won't even get into this, that's a saga in and of itself ). We can't cancel orders 80%+ of the time we have to call out or send a request.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Being as most of them trained me when I started. Didn't show me the right ways of doing anything just their way which isn't the companies way and even once said i hadn't seen a process before and they ignored me and walked away.

I would never find my coworkers, and when I did - they were always huddled in a corner of the store. My coworkers are always standing around in a circle when other store employees are asking for help over the walkie-talkie.

Too many meetings that don't move the needle. Too many leaders that aren't experienced enough to develop their team members.

Be capable. Leadership needs to hold everyone accountable for their actions

Actually do their job and not have it rely on just one person.

We need to communicate better and finish our hjob each night fully

Review from Sales Dept

We need more HR leaders, fewer Operations, paper pusher managers.

We have meetings? Maybe include one of the associates into rhe meeting

Some of them are great people

More supportive of eachother less fighting

We dont have meetings often

Education. They don't know squat about the animals they're sending home to people. Training needs to be severely improved.

They are fine upper management is terrible
