They are willing to listen to ideas.

Private equity lacks the knowledge and understanding to effectively manage this type of business.

Pet trainers, wearing drab gray shirts is ridiculous for employees that are supposed to be the most personable and excited in the room. Bright colors with bright graphics. With bright letters that identify them as special as associates.

There are always issues with promotional & Treat offers, we can trouble shoot to a point, same with the payment system ( I won't even get into this, that's a saga in and of itself ). My immediate manager is amazing! She always is listening to everyone and tries her best to help us better communicate with each other, customers, and other leaders.

Depends on the store you're in. Some managers are great people's persons while others just like having authority.

My team is very compassionate and very friendly. They work quick to find solutions to personal and work issues

I like how my salon manager has my back mostly but as for the store manager, they slack off and do not prepare new people well. They throw the responsibility of training someone onto people who are too busy to properly do so.

Eveyone is always kind and willing to help at any time even if its in the salon I am never afraid to ask questions or ask for help

Mileage varies greatly between stores. Some are good, some are terrible. All will tell you what you want to hear while not being allowed to make changes.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Listen, realize you don't have all the answers and Be team Focused. This should cultivate a healthy working environment. Instead there is negative energy and finger pointing that has brought toxic behavior. It's disappointing to see leaders not rise above.

They need to gain better alignment so that those lower down aren't confused on the company goal and work better together as a team of leaders instead of being focused on your own department's initiatives.

Actually being leaders and helping to resolve issues, not cause them.

Communication is key for management staff. Managers would state to others how much they disliked one employee for a lack of reason, and retaliate against said employee. Serious rethinking of Communication and morale needs to be done.

Need new management or have somebody listen to me
