What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Value the line techs more. Stop trying to make wagers out of techs. Give more credit to techs that keep the lines up and running. You can't run a line from a cubical. It take quality techs to keep cases going out the door and we are losing that.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Too much importance put on paperwork and people are losing valuable mechanical skills. Techs used to feel more valued and were asked to do more work installing lines and bigger maintenance projects. Now we are valued by managing people and pushing paperwork. We had more say in matters years ago.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Our culture of Lima 1 has been butchered and pulled apart. Lima was an experiment plant and work system. It worked for many years and they tried hard to change it and now it is simply another factory job. New hires profit share has been cut way low also. Turnover is starting to rise as a result.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Being in touch with the floor and understanding the 12 hr swing shift better. That shift work wears you out but they come in all refreshed Monday morning acting like we should all be excited to be there on our 3rd day or night of 12 hrs. It's not healthy but we are told it's not an issue.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

The culture has changed a lot over the years and it seem that the new hires are developing an attitude of all about me and whatever it takes to move up. Even to the point of step on others to get there. A lot less sense of family than there used to be. They have them afraid to speak up to managers.
