The microagressions are suffocating and there's no one to talk to about it. Everyone keeps saying that my issues, and the issues of former employees, are just isolated experiences. This is not a company that is safe for people of color. You are not seen here. You are not heard.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

It is very supportive of marketing and sales. It must be a great culture for them.

What makes you most happy at work?

When I'm allowed to work without having to worry about how my honesty affects certain VPs.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

People of color at this company do not get internally promoted. Several of the few have left because there's no upward mobility for them. When asked why the general excuse is lack of leadership but white junior employees with the same level of leadership experience are promoted above people of color

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

They continue to use surveys like this to say that the company is great while not being willing to be honest about the struggles their peers face. There's no one you can talk to about race or microagreesions at RFPIO without someone using Comparably as a way to say "Your issues are isolated to you."

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Stop using the India team as an excuse for poor diversity in the US. The India office allows RFPIO to seem diverse, but if there was a regional survey the lack of diversity in the US would be shocking. 6 out of 7 VPs are white. There's one black manager. When microacressions happen no one listens.
