The people I get to work with and the problems we solve for our customers.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It seems across the board they we pay significantly less than other fast growing tech companies when surveying my peers in the industry. Additionally, the family plans are very expensive. I'm privileged that my partner has a decent family health benefits plan from her work.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Medical benefits are great for individuals but not for families. If my partner did not have decent family plan insurance, I would likely not have been able to take this role. The starting salary for my role is significantly below average to what other Portland tech companies provide.
