Despite working hard for 6 years, and doing everything my leadership asks regarding getting promoted, I haven't and they hired someone over me with half my experience, but yet I was told that I didn't have enough "global", which was clearly outlined on my resume.

Generally it's been good. Some changes the last few yrs have made me feel less attached to the company (ex. laying off employees who were top performers, pushing return to office despite Marc spending 2 years during covid saying things would never go back to that, etc.).

We use a cool app that we've made to provide regular feedback back and forth from manager to employee and reversed.

Unlimited
some levels have unlimited PTO (because it's difficult to actually go on PTO)
What's the internship program like at Salesforce?
Amazing! One of the best summer internships.
It's competitive and cutthroat.

Varies a bit by role but generally work from home is accepted and encouraged

Good benefits
I would say it's not worth working for Salesforce, go work anywhere else, moral in Tech is horrible, with micromanaging Diva's that are only interested in furthering their own management career, and do little to actually help and manage their individual teams.

How flexible is your work schedule at Salesforce?
very
My hours are moderately flexible- nobody is watching when I clock in and out, but I am also expected to be available to respond to critical customer cases as they are received.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Salesforce?
how bad the culture really is
The tech stack is a monolith. The product releases to EVERY CUSTOMER 3 times a year. The scrum teams are "agile" but testing and releases are not.

How do I do well in an interview at Salesforce?
Be honest & have a point of view about your field of expertise. Too many interviewees just say what they think we want to hear & it makes all candidates sound the same. If you want to stand out enough to get hired, have a point of view. Also, make sure your on-site presentation is really polished & thought thru as it will set the tone for the conversations you'll have with many of the key interviewers.

How secure do you feel at your job at Salesforce?
Very Secure
Not at all since 30% of dept was cut with no warning, nothing based on performance, and the whole process was deeply impersonal and not Ohana at all.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Salesforce?
In our dept the work/life balance was pretty good. So no issues here at all.
Actually, when I was working at Salesforce in the early years we were a very tight knit group. We worked extremely well together and also spent most of our time outside of work together. To this day, we are all very close and supportive of each other in our work endeavors and personal lives.

I feel secure in my job because no one will take the time to fire anyone.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Salesforce?
I was excited to see contractors got healthcare. When I dug deeper it was the high deductible health care only. That's pretty much useless.
I am a contractor, if I was an employee everything would be balanced

You are giving a notice. I have heard of 90 days to find a job internally. If you don't find one, you are given a six weeks severance
