How employees describe working at Staples
The printing department in all locations of port saint lucie and ft pierce need alot of attention. Worst experiences of any stores i have bever been to. Total garbage.
I had a good experience however, sometimes, goals are not SMART (i.e., rewards per customer, # of electronics warranties sold, turnaround time). I had a great time while working at the copy and print center.
Staffing turn over is to frequent. The manager has no basic common sense of math.

work from home ability depends on the department you work in. some offer part time and some offer full time. you pay for your own business phone and internet, company provides a company computer, monitors, keyboards, mouse, and other position necessary hardware.
What skills do you need to be successful in the Customer Support department at Staples?
listening skills, empathy, communication skills, ability to think outside the box, patience, time management, grammar, and a can do attitude. you will definitely need to be able talk with a smile

all layoffs have been discreet, with notice, and have been provided severance sackages and employees that have bee. laid off will get first call when new hiring is needed.
How are the career growth opportunities on the Customer Support team at Staples?
career growth is truly based on what you want out of your career. have an accounting degree, you can work in our accounts payable or receivable, want to work in sales, there are sales rep jobs etc.

Very. Not sure how it is at other places bit we try to do our best to take care of each other and understand that life happens.

Very helpful. I wanted to help and they couldn't believe it. They started training me for other positions right from the start.

They are over paying for some new talent because the reputation isn’t the best right now. The associates that have been there for a while are getting fed up with the lack of advancement and the newbies that are being brought in.

Depends on the Mgr and team - 50-70

Direction in constant state of change... “reorganization” seems to be a yearly task.

Some great people...some long timers that need to retire or find something they are passionate about.
