Treating employees as if they are a valued and vital part of the company and not disposable cogs in the company machine.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

They screw you out of raises and tell you to be grateful you have a job. Every year you get bumped up to the hiring salary because the raises are so low. Ten year employee paid the same as the new dude off the street.
