More help/hours. Better wages for hourly associates to attract better help.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Clear and concise communication from upper management. Too many conflicting issues with the left hand talking to the right hand.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Exactly that, more compensation. New hires off the street making more with little to no experience and unionized associates responsible for 1 dept making more than salaried management.
