Overall the business is fast paced and demanding but can be rewarding when projects come together and are executed properly. In general, the projects we work on are beneficial and forward thinking for our stores and customers.
They are transparent when they can be and provide a clear direction on what our goals and objectives are.
We truly work as one team. Everyone is willing to help a co-worker in need inside or outside of work.
Our leadership team does a great job of communicating important milestones and ensuring the right resources are available to ensure success.
My co-workers. When the work gets tough or frustrating they are willing to assist or be an ear to listen to help provide clarity.
We have great communication and are willing and able to jump in and help each other wherever needed. Everyone is genuinely happy and it makes your work more enjoyable.
Being involved in a project that will help the stores. We want to make ways of working better for the stores so if my job helps them do that then I am happy.
We are a cohesive unit that communicates well and collaborates on almost all things that come through our department. If one person is missing for any given reason, we can jump in and help each other.
The stories we receive from our store teams. Each week we collect stories that fall into 1 of our 4 behaviors. Everyone embraces the culture and we have a new example of this each week when we review cadence.
Home grown talent is undervalued. You see those associates that are hired externally making more money than those associates who are loyal and climb the ladder from within. A lot of times, the more tenured manager is leaned on heavily by the external hires.
I do feel like I am stretched thin and asked to do more than what falls in my wheel house. I am not opposed to doing more but the compensation has not increased with the workload. External hires are always compensated more than long term internal employees.
