bonus structure should be re-examined. assistants should get at least 18-20% not 12.5%. assistants do a lot, in some cases more than the store manager, when it comes to running stores.
Be more realistic with what really occurs in the stores every day and managing expectations based on that. We seem to focus on the wrong things, and things the customers won't care about. They can be less condescending and intimidating. The words "thank you" said meaningfully can go a long way.
