I've been able to make a few career moves within Sunnova, but from what I've seen, I am the outlier. The days are long and the work is fast paced and slightly disorganized. I feel that I have to tools to navigate the difficult environment, but I see that it burns out lots of other employees.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The best part of my comp package is that base salary seems to be fair.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Working remotely can be difficult, but the space for casual conversation within Slack and/or teams really helps the team feel like a community.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team has a great amount of varied experience within Sunnova, solar, and outside of the industry. This eclectic team encourages great synergy and problem solving by using lots of different ideas, experiences, and perspectives.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The work days are long and I'm often pulled in lots of different directions. With the large number of internal meetings, I find it hard to get in and maintain a creative flow without being interrupted from multiple departments as well as my meetings.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership team has traditionally been a bit disconnected from their customers and dealers when it comes to their needs. However, as of late, there have been a good number of changes to improve the org that has positively impacted leadership's visibility and understanding of customer needs.
