Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Although there are no ideal companies, I would simply ask Sunnova to fully adhere to its ideals and goals, which in my view is not always the case. Sunnova is a great, new reality that should revolutionize the world, the way of thinking, outside and inside the workplace.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Be valued according to the market. Annual increases should also be envisaged in consideration of the rising cost of living.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

My coworkers should try to stay longer in this Company. In three years I have had four different supervisors and my team has changed countless times.

Sunnova is a growing, evolving company and some change is due to the growth of our business and not everyone is a good fit for our business model. Being able to adapt to change in our organization is a key skill in our current evolution.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I would like my compensation to match the current market and cost of living values. After three years, I was only granted a two percent salary increase.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Wrong things don't come from the CEO or HR but from management microstructures and some leaders who have an antiquated view of hierarchies and relationships with their subordinates.

What makes you most happy at work?

I am always happy when I can contribute to the growth of Sunnova, offering and expressing the best of my professionalism in an environment that privileges empathy and mutual respect.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

People don't collaborate organically. In my experience, there is always anxiety and a frenzied desire to hastily fulfill a vertical last-minute request. This often results in very hasty, superficial, and disrespectful human relationships.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

The quality of working together is given by mutual respect and trust. My impression is that the relationship with my coworkers is based on a basic individualism that does not really allow us to see ourselves as a team.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team is still strongly hierarchically structured. So far the only person who has always encouraged a non-hierarchical dialogue has always been our CEO. The rest of the ELT and senior managers are more reluctant to allow forms of exchange beyond their direct control.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Despite my loyalty to this Company, my management has never been interested in my professional growth. I often feel relegated to the role of an executor, a role that underestimates my skills, my experience, and my job title. In the past three years, I've only received a 2% salary increase.
