I think if my position was part of a different department, it would be SO MUCH better. However, my role is not set up for a success as there is too much role overlap and conflict with very little opportunity for advancement.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to work at Disney! It's truly exciting to be able to have Disney on my resume and seeing the impact this company has on cultures around the world.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Once I got past the initial screening, my recruiter made an effort to stay in touch with me and keep me up-to-date about where I stood in The Process.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My compensation is great, but I feel like the insurance options could be better. In efforts to save a buck, Disney opted to go with an HMO option that severely restricts access to providers. You can opt into a PPO, but it has a high deductible. Either way, you pay.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Grain of Salt: I believe my critique of company culture is only applicable to my current team. It would be nice if people were more welcoming to others who came from "outside Disney." Just because someone didn't start at the company as an intern does not make their experience less valid.
