Benefits are amazinf. But you are just a number with most teams. There really is no sense of comraderie as found in other jobs because the teams are so large and after a while, it is taxing.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Quick and efficient! The recruiter was also quite nice.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Beautiful variety in our team. People are from all over the world and there is a lot to be learned.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My coworkers. Management usually doesnt care, but you can always count on your coworkers to support you because they are in the thick of it too.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having time to actually make a guest happy and give them a piece of the magic. Its been so long since ive been able to authentically do that.... i feel like ive lost the magic.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Efficient communicantion and lead by example. As well as general interpersonal development. We are here to work, yes. But that doesnt mean that our managers cant be there to uplift us when we are doing a great job or give us unbiased support when we need help.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We handle over thousands of guests in the florida summer heat, rain and hurricane. A lot of our positions are outside and most of us get heat exhaustion or heat stroke. The leadership response is primarily to just drink more water, even though most of us drink 100 oz + a day.
