Thomson Reuters Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Work from home benefits are good, but the company will use this as an excuse to pay you well below what you should really be making.

Focus is on innovation and growth

People are great, work hard play hard

Giving premium to our loved ones by providing necessary time off for special occasions.

People are generally helpful and friendly.

Review from IT Dept

Having unlimited vacation with family

They care about work-life balance. They push you to improve but without sacrificing your life

Work life balance integrity respect

Equality at the workplace and given equal opportunities.

Most positive is the team I am on and our productivity. Least positive is that VPs compete with each other instead of focus on the customer.

My co workers and managers

The people for sure. Everyone generally has an excitement about the work we do and we know that it is important.

Co-workers are very smart. Hybrid remote and office work is encouraged.

They focus, at least verbally, on the right things - like diversity, inclusion, providing a relatively safe place for criticism.

It feels special to work at TR given its history and future potential and mix of products. Our TRUST principles are essential and are guiding us for decades and we take it seriously to do good things for customers and societies and our own people.

Review from Sales Dept

co-workers and pace of work

employee friendly policies and support

Diverse, inclusive, tries to drive change and not just pay lip service to it.

Help the poor people to provide good heth care and food

the people work for the same goal and we help each other achieve our goals as a team

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better connection and integration of teams both personally and in terms of workflow organisation

Zest is missing and the feeling of doing something worthwhile rather than rote activity

Show proper care and not just acting on the surface like you care.

Greater incentives and getting a sense that what we do actually matters. That we won't be re-inventing the wheel yet again.

Treating employees as if they are truly critical and not easily tossed out and outsourced. Yearly layoffs demoralize people and the leadership constantly changing creates churn and yearly rework.

Review from IT Dept

Senior leadership. They are very tone deaf and rather spend millions of dollars on outside consulting companies on how to strategically screw their workers compensation just to make their bonuses larger

Money resources and some more top experienced workers

Better, updated tools. Stop the layoffs. Stop outsourcing and offshoring critical job functions. Shore up leadership.

Review from Product Dept

More focused on goal and removing mediocrity

humble and servant leadership instead of ego maniacs at the top

Sales needs to line up with customer first and long term thinking, so our #1 priority is taking care of the customer. There is too much competition for short sided thinking to rule the day. Some of the top performing people in the company I wouldn't buy from, so that says a lot.

Review from Sales Dept

Complete overhaul of senior leadership team with outside talent.

Review from HR Dept

Company culture is very corporate and hierarchical, with little openness to change or innovation.
