What are some of the best things about your team?
Similar age. can bond via simple conversation, willing to help when needed, have knowledge in exprtise in areas other that that of their peer
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to work with friends. Serving my beloved Nation's Veterans. Contributing to and attempting to make our government the best and most efficient that it can be. When my supervisors are in a good mood; boss w/ bad mood = bad day.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Direct managers need to be more open to answering questions versus criticizing the action already taken; focus on future, not past. Allow subordinates to discuss and have small talk w/o interjecting every other sentence, Take a step back and trust their employees to use the training provided to them
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
More compensation for the amount and difficulty of work I am doing would make me more content with my position. My health benefits are horrible; I pay $80 a week for the worst plan while my deductible is still $5,000 per year. I get no stock, and I don't even get paid vacation time.
