What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I feel that we have too lofty of goals that are not sustainable for the workforce. Talent will not be retained.

Rewarding the hard work from their teams. We're going 100% every day and don't get so much as a thank you. Middle-management is inexperienced and wants to give orders, not foster inclusiveness of ideas, feedback, or different perspectives.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The health insurance is great. Also, appreciate the Volunteer Time Off opportunity.

Flexibility is the best part. It's an open point of conversation that pay is low, but flexibility is high. I think, as long as that balance remains true, things overall are quite good.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Market rate for my role is 30-50k higher. A coworker a level lower left and is making $25k more than me. I've been promoted to Sr PMM, but fought for 3 yrs for the title after my responsibilities grew and Vertafore brought in someone external as Sr PMM with less responsibility -task or strategy

Our benefits are fantastic, but the pay for my position lags behind many similar positions I see posted online. I'd like to see this brought more in line with current market rates.

Everyone is welcoming and genuine. My team is friendly and seems to like being around each other. My department as a whole is welcoming and I feel like I can sit down to lunch with any of them and talk shop or have a good time.

Young, inexperienced teams. In time, they will be good, but they aren't given anytime to develop or be trained in their roles.

I love the events that Workplace Services puts on at our company. It's a great way to get out and do stuff in the office with people I don't work with often.

I feel we have an overall commitment to kindness. We're also not trapped in a corporate cult of toxic positivity, and people ARE able to openly discuss when something isn't working to try to make it better. It's incredibly freeing to know you can share your constructive ideas openly at work.

Great benefits and great colleagues. Our work is flexible and management seems to understand that deadlines are deadlines, but so long as those are met, our work isn't that demanding.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Hire a better mix of young, inexperience people with wise, experienced professionals. If you have inexperienced leading inexperienced, you have a recipe for disaster.

When I feel that I've done something impactful on my team. I love the feeling of camaraderie when we all have a shared goal.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Turnover of both leadership and employees has created a disconnect. Paying employees fairly and improving the hiring process so that positions are filled quickly and efficiently would vastly improve employee satisfaction.

Everyone is severely overworked and tired. At least within marketing.

Culture. You get the feeling that Vertafore is a churn-and-burn employer. Burn you out in two years and move on to the next employee.
