I like a work environment that gives me the freedom and trust to do my work but also support when needed.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My compensation package includes a base salary, annual bonus percentage, Waste Connection stock that vests over time, dollar for dollar match on the 401K, and great medical benefits for a reasonable monthly cost.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
One of the positive things about working at Waste Connections is that most people want to help you success! I've been with the company 12 years and have been mentored by coworkers all across the US and Canada.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I liked meeting employees in varies departments and at varies levels. I interviewed 2 times in Colorado and the final interview was at the corporate office where I met the CEO, President, CFO, and several individuals in HR, training and benefits.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I get to work with very intelligent people that also know how to have fun! My coworkers take pride in their work and know that our #1 focus is to support our frontline employees by practicing servant leadership and doing great things for other people.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The Waste Connections leadership team is incredible because they put people first. This has become even more evident with the company's response to COVID-19. Waste Connections front line employees were given a pay increase for coming to work during the pandemic and being our community heros.
